A Little About Texarkana's Computer Doctor |
 |
Thank you for taking the time to read more about Computer Doctor. Let me introduce myself; I'm Tom Asimos, the owner and primary technician.
I firmly believe that one of the most important elements of a successful computer maintenance program is a qualified service-oriented technician. However, just as important is having someone who can talk to the client in layman's terms and explain what the problem is and how to fix it best.
Similar to a medical doctor, when choosing a Computer Doctor, the doctor's bedside manner is a paramount concern. I will work with you to give you the maximum results for the minimum cost all the while treating you with respect.

My Training and Background
I am a native of Texarkana and got my start with computers here at St. James Day School beginning with the first Texas Instrument 99-4A computer circa 1981. Thanks to my great computer education there, I have been a computer expert ever since.
I have worked in a variety of business settings, but my strongest industry experience has been in healthcare settings. I worked my way through high school and then college working in doctors' offices doing billing, scheduling, transcription, and office management. I have worked in specialties as diverse as family practice, pathology, interventional cardiology, internal medicine, and psychiatry.
In 1999, I graduated from the #3-ranked Management Information Systems program in the nation, at the Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin with a 4.0 grade point average.
Upon graduation, I worked as a healthcare consultant, providing technical assistance to hospitals and clinics, for the world-leading consulting company Cap Gemini Ernst & Young for two years.
I left Cap Gemini Ernst & Young to open my own computer consulting business in Dallas, IQ Computer Solutions, which was similar to Computer Doctor. I operated that business for about 4 years before moving back to Texarkana. During that time, I worked for hundreds of business and home customers, providing top-quality technical assistance.
I am an expert computer technician; however, I am more than just another computer technician. I am a well-trained, creative business consultant with special expertise in the junction of business and technology. What does this mean to you? Put simply, in addition to fixing your computer problems and keeping your system running smoothly, I can also help you figure out how to best make use of technology in business.
My experience has been that many business owners see their computer system as simply a cost center. I can help you turn those costs into investments so that they help you make more money, operate your business more efficiently, and provide a better service for your clients, customers, or patients. Whether your computer is sick or you just want to make better use of your computer technology in your business, it's time to call the Computer Doctor.
